Show Us Your Goodness, Lord

Show us your Goodness, Lord, show us YOU.

We have witnessed Your power; we have seen Your faithfulness; we have experienced Your favor and grace; we have even felt Your Presence.  Now, as Moses said:  please show us Your Goodness, Lord; show us Your Glory.  Show us YOU.  We are desperate to see YOU.

Hide us in the cleft of your rock and under the shadow of your wings, that we might ONLY see You, Your character, Your nature…Your Goodness, Your Glory.  Then show us who WE are.  Show us who WE are IN YOU.

Make known to us the Miracle of all miracles you long for us to SEE:  You wrapped around us; us wrapped around You.

Show us Your Glory, show us YOU, that we might BE You to a languishing world.

Exodus 33:18-22; Psalm 91:1

  1. Wonderful. Those last lines touch something deep. It reminds me of John 17:21: That they all may be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that You have sent Me.
